While staying at Rainbow Drive Resort about 4 miles from Cotter, AR we trout fished 12 miles below Bull Shoals Dam on the White River. Fishing with an assortment of lures flies and jigs, but we found that the favorite bait of the area was “corn” and power baits. While enticing the fish with corn, catching was a breeze. We caught our limit of Rainbow with in 45 minuets. We were told that the Fish and Game department releases some million trout in the White River yearly. In the river stretch above camp one 18 lb. Brown trout has been caught as well as a 22 lb. down by the boat dock. A woman and her husband were returning from a days fishing and she was cleaning up the fishing rods and managed to let the line dangle behind the boat.

We were pleased with the resort. They had no problems finding us a RV site. I might say we had the RV & Tenting site to our own most of the time. As can be seen in the images the river is only 40 feet from the camp site. so fall out of bed with the fishing pole. On to the Red River
